I haven't been very active here for a while, and I must say...I miss it. I miss just sitting and working on a piece for hours, adding all the detail that I can think of, and making it look as realistic as I can. But after finishing 'Nina Lee,' I've decided that I need to get back to my artwork. Especially since I'm an art major now.

While at Barnes and Noble, I got a book on anatomy and figure drawing, and, since it is a book for beginners, it came with pencils and charcoal and a kneaded eraser and everything. I got sooo excited, so I sat in the Starbucks at Barnes and Noble, listened to my mp3 player, and drew fro hours. It felt sssooooooo good. I felt so relaxed and relieved afterwards. And the picture, if I may say so myself, turned out wonderfully. Plus it was sooo effective. I now know, without a doubt, what I'm going to get in my backpiece, and it all has meaning. It's so great. It feels so good to be getting back to, essentially, my roots. I love drawing, but with all the drinking, partying, and general "evil shenanigans," I havent' had the time or the inspiration to draw. But, that's over. I'll make time. Or tell people to fuck off and not have anymore friends. Either way, I am going to start drawing again.

Speaking of inspiration, I was at gothicsluts.com, and I was "inspired" to start drawing -- get this -- 'art nouveau porn.' I mean, for about a week now, I've been wanting to combine the art styles and techniques of my three favorite artists, Mucha, Dore, and Giger, but I didn't know how I was going to do it. I didn't know what my subjects would be or what they would be doing. Then, I saw a picture that gave me the idea of how. Women in sexually positions, with strong facial expressions and other attributes of the three artists that I find attractive. I love it.

It has just occured to me the possible consequences of writing this on deviantArt, but I don't really plan on having my work published or anything. That doesn't mean that I don't mind if someone steals my idea, because if they do, I will haunt them down and destroy them. I'm just saying...
